ROSE GLEN CHICKEN BBQ
April 27, 2025 • 11am–5pm
The Rose Glen CBBQ is a rich tradition at our school. Started in 1960, before Rose Glen was built, it was called the Country Fair. It was originally held at Lawrence School. In 1968, the name was changed from Country Fair to Chicken Barbecue. For over 60 years the school has been so lucky to have parents and staff who help make this day go off without a hitch.
Rose Glen was completed in 1978 and the first class started in September, 1979. Chicken Barbecue is one of our biggest fundraisers. This fundraiser would not be possible without the help of the PTO, volunteers and the Rose Glen community. All of the money raised benefits our children. The event funds school field trips, teachers classroom requests, PTO sponsored events, Teacher Meals, Teacher Appreciation, past playground equipment, and so much more. Besides raising money for the school, the Chicken Barbecue is a great way for the Rose Glen community to come together for family, food and fun.
